Decathlon

As e-foil prototypes were going viral on social media, the fastest and most effective way to assess the real potential of the experience and its commercial viability was to build a functional demonstrator prototype.
Testing the experience and perception were the priority to establish a position on the market, ahead of reliability, maintenance and safety, which would be deepened later.
Challenge
To test and validate the market potential of an emerging practice before it has even been launched on the market.
Approach
- Concept Design
- Mechanical Engineering (concept)
- Prototyping
- Tests
- Campaign Production
Results
- Brand Awareness Campaign on Innovation and prospective design
- Validation of market potential and technical complexity
- Distribution partnership with TAKUMA to conduct a market test
- Discontinuation of the e-foil program in favor of the surf-foil program
- Open source manufacturing plans sharing

“The agility and professionalism of the studio enabled us to confirm our intuition in record time!”
